Volunteer Ushers and Greeters for 5786 Warmly welcoming members and newcomers to our community is an essential part of who we are at Beth El. We invite you to sign up to be a volunteer Shabbat greeter or usher in 5786 by reaching out to Naiza Cintron in the front office at ncintron@bethelnr.org or (914) 235-2700, ext. 227.
Condolences to Lynn (Rubin) Kuszel on the loss of her mother, Judith Szabo z"l, and to Benjamin Kuszel and Gabriella (Nate Pitruzello) Kuszel on the loss of their grandmother. Those marking a simcha, observing the loss of a loved one, or someone who is sick or recovering from an illness have delighted/comforted that their lifecycle event has inspired generosity. If you would like to make a donation to Beth El in honor or in memory, please click here. MISHEBERACH LIST If you would like to add a name to the Misheberach list, please email Rabbi Sitkin at zsitkin@bethelnr.org.
As a service to our members, Beth El includes in this section outside events that may be of interest to members of our community. Listing an event does not constitute endorsement of the event by Beth El.
LOOKING FOR A HOST FAMILY Westchester’s Shalom Yisrael has for over 20 years been bringing small groups of Israeli women for a 10 day visit as a way of thanking them for their volunteering efforts. This year’s group of 6 women, from the Haifa area, volunteer for Hora Ilan, working with people in wheelchairs to teach them dance of various styles and perform together. We are looking for a family to host one of these volunteers for September 7-17. Shalom Yisrael provides daily programming for the guests. Beth El families have hosted in the past. Interested in hosting? Please contact Marc Karell — mamaromarc@gmail.com or Alan Greenberg asgreenberg2@gmail.com for details.
