What do you do with your old lulav and etrog sets? Some, like Seniors Coordinator Julie Rockowitz makes etrog jam from friends' aging fruit, while some opt to poke cloves into its skin before it hardens into what will be a nicely scented havdallah besamim for the year.
You can also drop off your set back at Beth El in the Green Team's bin for nursery school projects and composting. New Rochelle has recently made a compost drop off available! Any food, napkins and compostable tableware is permitted to be placed in the appropriate marked bin in the rear of the Pinebrook Tennis Courts parking lot. (Consider freezing these items first if you have the capacity). There is also a clothing drop off bin there.
