Dear Parents,
Looking ahead to a wonderful week of beginnings, we want to highlight a few events:
Parent Orientation and Curriculum Presentation this Thursday evening at 7:15pm. Classroom Peek this Friday beginning at 4:30pm Nursery School Communal Shabbat Dinner this Friday at 5:30pm.
The deadline to register for Friday night's dinner is tomorrow, Wednesday, at 5PM. This is a wonderful community building event and we hope you will all consider joining us. Register here for the Communal Shabbat dinner. Details for each of the above listed events may be found below.
As we move closer to the first day of school, if you have not done so already, we ask that you please click on the links below to complete the various required forms. They can be returned to our office either via email to nursery@bethelnr.org or in person no later than Thursday evening at the Parent Orientation. Please be aware that no child can be legally admitted to school without a completed medical form.
Monday, September 9 is the first day of school. (The entire school calendar is attached below and please note, it has been updated.). As a reminder, the first few sessions may be somewhat abbreviated for certain classes to facilitate a smooth transition into school. This staggered schedule, entitled Beginning Days, will be shared with you by your child's teachers during your home visit.
We hope you share our excitement as we anticipate the beginning of the new school year. If you have any questions, please call the Nursery School office at (914) 235-2700 x250. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday night and hopefully Friday as well. Please see below for detailed information of important upcoming events.
Also, if you will be using Before and/or After Care and did not indicate that on your registration form and have not yet been in touch with us, please email us with the days you will be availing yourself of that option. Before and After Care will begin the week of September 16.

Parent Orientation and Curriculum Presentation Thursday, September 5 at 7:15pm
Mark your calendars forthis important evening when you will hear essential information regarding your child's school year. Following the general meeting, parents will be dismissed to their children's respective classrooms for a presentation by the teachers. They will share an overview of the program and discuss specific learning experiences, goals and important logistics for your child's class. At least one parent must attend, so please be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7:15pm for our Parent Orientation and Curriculum Presentation.
Beginning to Connect: Classroom Peek and Communal Shabbat Dinner Friday, September 6
Teachers will be reaching out to schedule a time slot between 4:30pm and 5:15pm for you to come into the school building for a Classroom Peek . You and your child will be able to visit the classroom, select a cubby and gain some familiarity with the environment. These visits will be brief and in small groups.
After the Classroom Peek, families are invited to join us for an optional Nursery School Communal Shabbat Event on Friday, September 6, from 5:30pm - 7pm. The event will include a musical shabbat experience followed by dinner in our outdoor tent. Children will have the opportunity to play on the playground between the Classroom Peek and the Shabbat event. See details below. Click here to register.
Sign Up for Toddler Time
Registration is open for our Fall Session of Toddler Time, which begins on Tuesday, October 8.Please note that Toddler Time will now be meeting on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, and we have increased the number of sessions.Details may be found on the flyer below Click here to register.
