An opportunity to listen to people straight from Israel about what is going on—Please join the Israel 360 Committee for a panel discussion with several leading experts from Israel working to help a nation traumatized by the attack of October 7th. The presentation will address the various ways Israel and Israelis have been physically, psychologically, personally, and sociologically impacted by the attack, as well as the ways in which they are responding to these crises to help. Join us in the Den to watch on Zoom together over breakfast or log in directly by Zoom from your home or office.

Cantor Gaby will have open hours for buying chametz. Tuesday April 16 from 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday April 17 from 8am to 10am and 3:30pm to 5pm, Thursday April 18 from 9 to 10 and 1pm to 3pm and Friday April 19 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. ALL CLERGY will be available to purchase your hametz immediately following morning and evening minyan.We encourage you to come in person to sell your chametz through an act of acquisition (or kinyan in Hebrew). If your health is compromised or you have other reasons why you cannot come in person to sell your chametz, please contact Cantor Gaby and she will help you make alternative arrangements.

Do a mitzvah: Beth El Synagogue and UJA-Federation are co-sponsoring the annual post-Pesach food drive on Wednesday, May 1 - Thursday, May 2 to benefit the food pantries (kosher and non-kosher) at HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle, a UJA grantee. Bring your everyday non-perishable groceries and unopened leftover Pesach groceries (no matzah), along with cleaning supplies and toiletries in bags or boxes to the synagogue. There will be a box outside of the Main Office for collection. Beth El is joining with other local synagogues to fight hunger. No one escapes this world without encountering the death of friends and loved ones, nor are we immune from sickness. In this class we will explore rabbinic teachings that enrich the ways we think about the process of death and dying, as well as the rituals we've inherited that guide us through some of the most difficult moments in our lives. (In Person & Online)

Please join us as we warmly welcome Rabbi Sirner and Lenore Sirner back to Beth El for this Shabbat. Rabbi Sirner will be leading services starting with Kabbalat Shabbat at 6:30 followed by Saturday Shabbat services.

Sprinting via the Silver Screen from Baseball Diamond to Heavyweight Boxing Ring to Olympic Track to Prep-School Football Field, we will explore four superb films in which Jewish athletes chase their dreams. On May 9th, 16th, 23rd and 28th we will screen respectively "The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg," "Cinderella Man" starring Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger, "Chariots of Fire" starring Ben Cross and Ian Holm, and "School Ties," starring Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon. Each session is self-contained and begins with a delightful delicatessen buffet dinner followed by a formal introduction to the film, a complete screening, and highly dynamic group discussion. Distinguished Guest Lecturer will once again be Rabbi Azriel Fellner, who has taught at the Jewish Theological Seminary, lectured throughout the country, and written extensively on Jewish-American culture.
