Tuesdays: 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9 at 7:30 pm In Person & on Zoom A fundamental reality of being human is learning to grapple with our own mortality. No one escapes this world without encountering the death of friends and loved ones, nor are we immune from sickness. In this class we will explore rabbinic teachings that enrich the ways we think about the process of death and dying, as well as the rituals we've inherited that guide us through some of the most difficult moments in our lives.
Thursday, April 4, 7:30 pm Join us for a panel discussion with Rachel Klein, Executive Dir., Hillels of Westchester, Myra Clark-Siegel, Director, AJC Westchester/Fairfield and a local college student, for an up to the minute look at the rise of antisemitism since October 7th and its impact on college campuses across the nation and right in our backyard. Rachel is on the front lines at 6 college campuses in Westchester, working side by side with students to navigate these challenging times. Myra is one of the leaders of AJC's efforts to educate and empower students and parents in the fight against antisemitism and will speak about AJC's recently released report "State of Antisemitism in America 2023," which found that 44% of current or recent college students were affected by antisemitism while on campus. And we'll get a personal perspective from a local college student. Open to all.
