Dear Friends:

We are writing with a further update about our ongoing search for an additional rabbi to join our clergy team. 
 
As you know, we invited Rabbi Viktoria Bedo to spend a Shabbat at Beth El earlier this month. In consultation with Rabbi Bedo, we decided to postpone the visit given the attack against Israel. We are now happy to announce that we have rescheduled Rabbi Bedo’s visit for the Shabbat of November 17 and 18, including a community dinner that will coincide with the Friday night of her visit. A full schedule of Rabbi Bedo’s visit, along with her bio and a registration form for the Friday night dinner, can be found below.

We are also pleased to announce a visit by another candidate, Rabbi Leora Kling Perkins, to take place on the Shabbat of November 3 and 4. While there will be no Friday night dinner, the entire community will have an opportunity to come together and get to know Rabbi Kling Perkins in a less formal setting during a wine and cheese social on Saturday night, November 4. A Shabbat visit provides us a chance to get a sense of a rabbinic candidate and it is also an important opportunity for the rabbi to experience the magic of our Beth El community.  Your presence and active engagement in as many events as possible will play a significant role in helping us make an informed decision about the next rabbi who will join our clergy team.  We are excited to welcome these two candidates to our synagogue so that they can experience the vibrancy and warmth of our community.
