In light of the horrific events in Israel, we wanted to let you know what our safety protocols are at Beth El. While there is no intelligence indicating that there is a specific threat to Jewish communities in the United States, we will have added visible security in the days ahead.
In “regular times” there is always a Beth El Security employee who monitors the front door and provides access for people into the building. In addition, we have outside security during all of the following times:
Nursery School in session
Religious School in session
Shabbat services
High Holiday services
Certain evening events
We are in close contact with the New Rochelle Police Department and they are patrolling all the synagogues in New Rochelle on a regular basis. We will continue to remain vigilant regarding any security issues and we will communicate any changes in our protocols to all of you.
