As we celebrate and thank Rabbi Fisher for her leadership over these past four years, we are also diligently managing our search for a new rabbi to join our clergy team beginning in July 2024. Our search committee has begun the process of receiving applications and conducting interviews. We are delighted to announce that the committee has met with a promising candidate, Rabbi Viki Bedo, and extended an invitation to Rabbi Bedo to spend the weekend of October 13th -15th with the Beth El Community. The full schedule for the weekend and Rabbi Bedo’s bio is at the bottom of this email.
We would have preferred more time to pass between Rabbi Fisher’s departure and this invitation to Rabbi Bedo. However, finding a suitable Shabbat weekend requires careful coordination that considers our candidate’s existing congregational responsibilities and our own Shabbat schedule.
We have organized a weekend schedule filled with numerous opportunities for you to connect with Rabbi Bedo. Your presence and active engagement will play a significant role in helping us make an informed decision about the next rabbi who will join our clergy team. We are excited to welcome Rabbi Bedo to our synagogue so that she can experience the vibrancy and warmth of our community.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Search Committee Rob Patchen - Chair of the Search Committee Rochelle Chaiken Alana Chill Andrea Fleishaker Lois Kohn-Claar David Shechter Mark Seidenfeld Joyce Wechsler Lauren Freeman-Bosworth (ex-officio)
