Yesterday we enjoyed a beautiful day celebrating Israel's 76th birthday!
Please see important messages below:
1. Sign up today for our second annual Field Day! It is thisSunday, May 19 at 1PM. Nursery School families are invited for a fun afternoon of relay races, yummy snacks and shmoozing on Gan Teva, the lower field. In the event of rain, all activities will be moved inside to the Crystal Ballroom. Cost is $25 per family. Register here.
2. We will be offering Mini Camp for the weeks between the end of school and the beginning of Beth El Day Camp. Please see program details on the flyer below. The flyer was sent home last Friday. Please fill out the registration form on the back of the flyer and return it to your child's teachers with a check made payable to Beth El Nursery School. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
3. Special Visitors Day for the Gezah classes will be on Friday, May 17 at 9:15AM in the Den, and the Anaf classes will have Special Visitors Day on Monday, May 20 at 9:15AM in the Youth Lounge. If you haven't done so already, please be sure to let your child's teachers know who your Special Visitor will be.
4. End of year celebrations are just around the corner. Please mark your calendars for the following times on Wednesday, June 5, the last day of school:
Shoresh Classes - 10:30AM - 11:45AM Gezah Classes - 9:15AM start -- further details to follow. Anaf Classes - 1:00PM - 2:30PM Please note there will not be any after care that day.
5. Beth El is a founding member of ICNAW (Interfaith Council of New Americans of Westchester), a resettlement organization for new refugees and immigrants to the US. ICNAW helps refugees in many ways: driving to medical appointments, driving to nursery school, setting up and furnishing apartments, gathering clothing and toys, helping with English lessons, integrating new families with our own, and taking families to local happenings.
We invite you to participate in an easy, but crucial way. Two cute little boys were recently born, healthy, with their parents no longer fearing for their lives in Afghanistan. But they need diapers, sizes 1 and 2. Please support this diaper drive by dropping off diapers in the box in the lobby. And if you are interested in helping in other ways, please contact Joyce Wechsler (914) 629-8731 or Susan Wolman (914) 980-5050.
6. We are continuing our fundraising through Mabel's Labels. With every order we will earn 20% commission for our school. If you are not familiar with Mabel's Labels, they offer personalized waterproof name labels for your children's items. This is the perfect time to get your orders in before camp and the new school year. Visit campaigns.mabelslabels.com and choose Beth El Nursery School (New Rochelle) from the organization list. Click here to order.
